Acceptance

“Because one believes in oneself, one doesn't try to convince others. Because one is content with oneself, one doesn't need others' approval. Because one accepts oneself, the whole world accepts him or her.”

To accept yourself is to put yourself before others without striving to impress them. Accept yourself as you are and look at yourself differently. Examine all your flaws and traits and characteristics carefully because they make you, you. Flaws should not be considered bad things because they differentiate you from others. Embrace all your imperfections because as much as you want to, you wont ever be able to change them. You’re a human and humans are not put on this earth to be perfect or flawless, you were created with many imperfections that are sewn together to produce something beautiful. A happy life comes with the complete acceptance of your flaws and traits and accepting who you are. There is nothing wrong with changing yourself once in a while but your purpose should not be for the satisfaction of others. People should not tell you how much you’re worth because you’re the only one that should be able to show others how much you’re worth through your actions.

You are worth more than the labels that have been put on you or the names that you’ve been called. Nobody knows what’s like to step into your shoes and live your life even for a day.  Don’t compare yourself to others because everyone has their own journey and story to tell.

Impress others by showing them how much you love and accept yourself. Treat yourself right with what’s best for you. Life is not a competition of who looks best or who has the best body or anything, it is simply about gaining the wisdom from your experiences and becoming a better version of yourself. You are the only one who knows exactly what’s best for you so be the best that you could be.
“To be beautiful means to be yourself. You don’t need to be accepted by others. You need to accept yourself. “
~Thich Nhat Hanh
