An Achievable Challenge

“Most powerful is he who has himself in
his own power.”

In your life, you are bound to have moments where having power over your own mind will seem impossible. Moments like these your inner demons will attempt to control your thoughts, tangle your emotions and lead your actions. Inner demons do exist. Some more powerful than others, despite them being invisible it is unquestionable if they exist or not inside the most powerful human feature, the mind. The mind has unlimited potential and it will do what it desires once it captures its victims. Regardless of it’s power, you and only you can choose to follow the path of negativity or positivity. The reoccurring negative thoughts the human brain emits out will leave you with two choices; to surrender or to fight. What will you choose to do?
Everybody has the potential to fight back but not everybody has the self-control. You have what it takes to fight your demons, but do you have the self-control? Every passing minute of your life you are controlling something, whether it’s the pencil you write with, the car you drive or the type of food you eat. These little things can never have a big effect in our lives because they are powerless but the mind isn’t. The more you give in and let your mind control you, the harder it will be for you to gain that position of power. Now power is not only authority, it is the ability to handle situations and open more doors for opportunities.  It is your life and nobody and nothing should control it but you.
Once you sense a bad vibe that’s transmitting into your mind. Block it. Protect your mind from getting devoured by negative thoughts. It is essential to accept the fact that you have inner demons because it is an obstacle you will conquer in a matter of time. But most importantly, you need to be honest with yourself. What is your inner demon trying to make you do? What is it harming you with? If you are in a state of denial, you need to change that. One of the most important things is to know what your inner demon or demons are trying to tell you or make you do. Once you are aware of that, you will be capable of handling the voices stammering to you.  Being aware of them is incredibly different from listening to them and obeying them, giving in to them is not a choice because you are strong and extremely capable of resisting their orders.
I am strong.
I am important.
I am worthy of happiness.
Pierce these words into your mind instead.  Remember your purpose in this world.  And be grateful for what you are and what you have. Happiness is a choice not a privilege; you can find happiness even in the darkest moments of your life when you start to perceive things differently. Start to ignore people who think they know more about you than you do.
“At times the world can seem an unfriendly and sinister place, but believe us when we say that there is much more good in it than bad. All you have to do is look hard enough.” Lemony Snicket
